Letter thanking his Lordship (Thomas George Baring, 2nd Baron Northbrook, Viceroy of India) for Captain Henry Byam Abbott's appointment; a new appointment to the Rajpootana [Rājasthān] Police Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. ; problems with the conduct of Captain Victor Edward Law; the Raja King of Rajpootana consenting to Fyze Alli Khan [Faiz Ali Khan] becoming the minister at Kotah [Kota]; and asking for an acting assistant to replace Abbott.
