Letter thanking Pelly for the copies of correspondence from Mr Crommelin and Colonel Williams and informing Pelly that he had previously drafted a demi-official letter to him and requesting that the letter in question now be forwarded to Colonel Williams, as well as expressing his hopes that his expression of regret and withdrawal of his letter will be deemed sufficient.

Although undated the letter refers to two previous letters from Leslie Saunders, one of 27 November 1873 and the other 7 December 1873.

The letter has the word 'cancelled' written across it several times.
