Letter regarding dealing with the Meywar [Mewār] Thakoors (local nobles); Carnell's response regarding Asuf Khan and a strange case of a father asking his son to aid him in being buried alive.
The letter also discusses the opening of the Railway line which will take place with festivities the next day; Lieutenant Yates' settlement work at Oodeypur [Udaipur] and Pelly's endeavours to reorganise the public works at Aboo [Ābu] and Sinoli division.
