Letter encloses a letter, dated 25 February 1811, from the Reverend Mr Arnold Burrows [Burrowes], Senior Chaplain of the Bombay Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. , Bombay, to Jonathan Duncan, President and Governor in Council, Bombay, regarding the Chaplain's dismissal of the town church clock mender. The enclosed letter includes its own enclosed letter, dated 1 February 1811, from General John Malcolm to the Chaplain, giving his approval of the dismissal.
