Letter encloses a copy of a letter, dated 20 May 1811, from John Henry Peile, Secretary to the Government at Fort St George, to Francis Warden, Chief Secretary to the Government at Bombay, regarding Lieutenant John Blacken, who has been employed to purchase horses at several markets in the vicinity of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. . The enclosed letter includes its own enclosure: an extract from the Commissary General, dated 6 May 1811, concerning the same matter.
