Letter refers to Bruce's request that a packet from His Excellency Sir Gore Ouseley, Ambassador to the Court of Persia, be transmitted on an East India Company vessel to Sir Evan Nepean, Governor of Bombay. Smee states that Lieutenant Henry Davidson, Commander of the Ternate, has been given orders to receive the packet.
