Letter requesting that an English officer be assigned to Muskat and the need to settle amicably the questions between Muskat and Persia regarding Bunder Abbas [Bandar Abbas].

The letter goes on to discuss matters of Politics, the Government of India, Russian Advances, the value of trade in the Gulf (which is now estimated at 5-6million shillings) and work on the suppression of slavery.
