Letter enclosing a narrative from Captain Salmon, describing the loss and plunder of the Centaur . The narrative states that the Centaur was sailing from Calcutta to Bushire and Bassorah [Basra], and carrying rice, sugar, and 1645 chests of indigo. At the end of the narrative is a list of the insurers of the Centaur's cargo, and the items, with their value, that each insured.
