About this record

Content

Letter regarding an enclosed letter (no longer enclosed) provided as an update for Pelly on affairs in Jacobabad and Sind.

A postscript to the letter discusses the decision by Major-General Henry Gee Roberts to put Conrad Owen in charge of pursuing the enemy from Kotah which resulted in complete failure and which Jacob considers to have been a foolish decision as Owen was reprimanded in 1830 for 'pusilanimous [sic] (cowardly) behaviour'.
