Letter informing Pelly that he had written to Major John Campbell Gunning for information on the strength of the Bheel corps, and that he had also written to the Durbar A public or private audience held by a high-ranking British colonial representative (e.g. Viceroy, Governor-General, or member of the British royal family). who he had learned had not received the report regarding the behaviour of the Corps and Major Gunning.
The letter goes on to discuss outlaw bands and the difficulties in adressing the issue without the full cooperation of all parties and requesting permission to travel to Aboo [Abu] to discuss the matter in person with the parties involved rather than communicate by letter.
