Letter thanking Pelly for sending the letter from Aitchison; and discussing some disputed land near Bursoo [Budsu] which is nearly 100 miles from the road to Bickaneer [Bīkāner], including the difficulties in reaching it, the poor quality of the roads, the lack of available water and the need for the Jeypore [Jaipur] and Bickaneer Durbar A public or private audience held by a high-ranking British colonial representative (e.g. Viceroy, Governor-General, or member of the British royal family). to have enough time to inform their parties to meet him there.
The letter goes on to discuss arrangements with Dr. Babler who was awaiting his arrival in Bickaneer and his hopes of settling the border dispute.
