Letter, marked private, regarding the settling of Baroda affairs and a resolution on the subject which will be made public. The letter discusses the divisions between the English and Native members of the commission, the court's decision to accept the English outcome and the 'misunderstanding and mischief' that this might cause.
The letter goes on to outline the Government's decision on how a new Gaekwar will be appointed and the various oppositions to the options being proposed, and the old treaties with the Indian States that do not reflect the way in which relations with the states in question now exist.
