Letter, dated 13 October 1873, informing Pelly that Colonel Alexander Ross Elliot Hutchinson must remain at his post, that there was no objection to the Maharana's excursion but that the Viceroy would not visit him as he had been offered the opportunity of seeing the Viceroy at Agra, which he had declined.
An addendum to the letter dated 20 October 1873 records that a copy of the letter had been sent to Colonel Hutchinson.
