Letter regarding Dr Colvill having departed Shiraz to take over responsibility for the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. during Pelly's absence but as Edwards has not received official notification either from the Government or from Pelly that Colvill has been appointed he cannot allow him to take control on arrival.
Other matters discussed in the letter include an outbreak of epidemic fever in Bushire; Pelly's horses and the Berenice still being in Bombay.
