The letter outlines the necessity for a petition to the Caun [Karim Khan] for troops to assist in the attack on Carrack [Kharg].
The enclosed letter, dated 21 May 1768, is written by James Morley as if it was from Captains Elphinstone and Nilson, to Karim Khan. It gives an account of the initial attack on Kharg. It informs the Khan that they will wait until his troops arrive before attacking again. Notification is also given that a hospital is being set up at Bushire for the casualties of the expedition.
