The Navy, in addition to its patrol and blockade

the French coast m support of the Allied Armies.
The truth is that throughout we not only lived up
to our obligations but met all French requests for further
assistance. The Navy threw all its resources into the battle
ana our military and air assistance was greatly in excess of the
contribution originally fixed.
