The map shows Muhurraq Island, and the causeway linking Muharraq to Manama. Also shown are principal roads, tracks, buildings (including the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. in Manana), islands, and the location of several underwater freshwater springs. A rectangle on Muharraq Island indicates the area specified for the landing ground.
The letter to which the map was enclosed (f 60) states that the map is a print taken from the master copy of a map of the Bahrain Islands, the data for which was collected by the Desert Survey Officer on his visit to Bahrain in December 1936.
