MEMORANDUM REGARDING THE MARKET POSSIBILITIES OF
N ATURAL P EARLS
Several of the largest jewellery houses in this area
have been contacted regarding the market possibilities of
natural pearls. They inform us that cultured pearls have
nearly supplanted the use of natural pearls in this market.
West Coast importers and retailers purchase natural pearls
from Eastern United States houses, however the amount of
business done is not large.
