Memorandum.
I enclose herewith a cover addressed
to the Ruler of Sharjah which contains the
letter I promised him about the extension of
the airfield. As I mentioned to you, in view
of the extreme urgency of the work, I have
authorised the R.A.F. to go ahead as from the
date the Ruler receives this letter. I would
be grateful therefore if you would transmit
this letter to him and let the R.a.F. know thet
you have done so, but as I understood from the
Ruler that the work could commence on receipt
of this letter, I do not think there is any
reason to re-open the question unless ShaiKh
Muhammad does so himself.
