View of the Ashar Creek at Basra. Six canoe-like boats carrying people and one sailing boat dominate the scene at left and centre. Two men stand on the shore at the right. Also at right, brick buildings with two projecting mashrabiyyas and a large arched entrance are visible. At left, palms line the opposite side of the creek.
