It is dated aboard the scheme yacht, King Faisal , 4 December 1946, and is forwarding a note by Messrs Gray Mackenzie, Bahrain dated 17 August, 1946.
The note records a conversation with a Mr Klein who mentioned that his company had purchased two 5000 ton freighters: one to transport locomotives from the United States of America to France and the other to carry drums of gasoline from Bahrain to Red Sea ports and further down the East African coast. Also discussed are the potential political difficulties of opening an office in Bahrain and how this could be circumvented.
