permanent disconnection with the Gaikwads of Baroda.
5. That your Memorialists most respectfully submit that it is needless to
mention here of the claim of the infant-child of Laxmibai, as it is on all hands
declared, that the marriage of Laxmibai being utterly illegal and without any
precedence, the issue of such marriage (being a full-grown child of nine months),
after five months from the date of the marriage, cannot necessarily be legitimate.

Letter enclosing a memorial submitted for the attention of the Viceroy and Governor-General of India containing their claims to the Gadi (throne) of Baroda.

The memorial contains details of their ancestry in support of their claim, and of the claim of Sadashivrao and their reasons for it not being supported. The memorial also contains a handwritten note by Lewis Pelly regarding correspondence in the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. records which supports some of the statements made by Gunpatrao and Khanderao in regards to Sadashivrao.

A genealogical table of the Gaikwads of Baroda is also enclosed with the letter and memorial.
