2. I should be grateful for a reply to paragraphs 2
and 3.
3. It is proposed to employ Steele temporarily after
1st April 1948. I presume there is no objection to his
accepting such employment during the period of his leave and/
or furlough.
4. On termination of his employment Steele wishes to
proceed direct to Nairobi as his elected place of retirement.
I presume he will be entitled to free conveyance there for
himself and his family since his services were compulsorily
retained.
