The file contains official requests from the commanders of Royal Indian Navy ships to the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. , Bahrain for permission to draw sums of money at Bahrain, as payment for the ships' companies; coin lists; and associated correspondence. The records relate to HMIS Hindustan , HMIS Lawrence , and HMIS Cornwallis .
