is not safe to draw from the figures any inference as to the

"Fox", "Proserpine” and their successors, but an inspection
of the quarterly Distribution Lists of H.M.S. in Indian Waters
supplied to us by the Admiralty (see table attached) shews

that during the period under review they were very frequently

Coast, in all of which stations they would be of assistance
in the arms traffic blockade. It seems likely therefore that
the Admiralty did pay a considerable additional sum for coal
burned by these vessels while engaged in assisting our

burned by their non-subsidised vessels while engaged in
