Map produced by Ely Banister Soane 9 September 1912 showing Chia Surkh [Chiyā Sarkh] and Qasr-i-Shirin [Qaşr-e Shīrīn] and the Turco-Persian frontier through the area.
The map includes two keys: one to the various roads, routes and oil company sites shown, the other gives names of frontier qulla which relate to numbers on the map.
The red line shows the line proposed by the mediating commissioners in 1852, the green line that claimed by Persia in 1852, the blue line shows that claimed by the Ottomans in 1851, and the black dotted line shows the frontier as observed locally in 1912.
