The notifications were forwarded to the Political Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. in Bushire and the Political Agencies in Bahrain, Kuwait and Muscat.

The file also contains copies of correspondence regarding export restrictions from the Government of India's External Affairs Department.
