This file contains correspondence regarding goods imported into Bahrain by the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) from India, Iraq, the United States and other countries.

The correspondence in the file is primarily between BAPCO officials, the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. in Bahrain, the Office of the Petroleum Division Representative at the British Embassy in Baghdad and Caltex (India) Limited.

On folio 88, the file contains a permit to export narcotic drugs issued by the US Treasury Department's Bureau of Narcotics.
