general question of 'the treatment to be accorded by customs
officers in India to goods exported from the United

that there was not a through bill of lading A document confirming the goods which a ship has received. .
It hardly seems possible to accept the suggestion
that the production of the invoice at the port of transhipment
is sufficient evidence that the ultimate destination was
known to the Customs authorities in the United Kingdom, and
I am to enquire whether those authorities could be instructed
in such a case as is now brought to notice to furnish, either
