/ I enclose for information a copy of an
account rendered to this Department (in con
tinuation) for periodicals supplied during the
December 1942 quarter by Messrs W. Dawson &
Sons Ltd., to your Political (Sxteraal; Depart
ment at India House, Aldwych, V.C.Z.
It is understood that similar accounts have
been rendered for the last 2 years to this
Department, based on an arrangement begun in the
^ | early days of the War. These accounts are
* jnormally passed to H.M.S.O. for payment.
- It is considered that,despite the smallness
of the account, the time lias come when such
claims should be dealt with by your Department
with a view to the proper certification as to
necessity and receipt of the items alleged to
have been supplied.
It will therefore be appreciated if you
will advise me that the account in question is
in order for payment by H.M.S.O. and that you
will be prepared to instruct Messrs Dawson to
