I have been instructed to inform you that the
High British Government wish to construct in your terri
tory an aerodrome and * camp attached thereto of 4.3 reed
huts and minor buildings. T am to request you, ny deer
friend, to give your formal agreement to the carrying
out of these measures and also to the provision of
such local guards as may be required for the protection
of stores, etc., belonging to the Hoyal Air Force.
2. I would also request your formal consent to the
stationing at 7 )nbai for the duration of the war only of
such aircraft and personnel attached to as the ^igh
British Government may consider necessary.

X have received your letter No. 163 dated 10th
February 1942 equivalent to 23rd Muharram 1361 and noted
its contents. 1 am ^leasea to consent to the construction
by the High British Government of an aerodrome and a camp
attached thereto of 43 reed huts end minor buildings and
will be glad to provide such local guards as may be
required provided that the rifles and ammunition for them
are supplied by the High British Government.
2. I am further pleased to give ay formal consent
to the stationing at :>ubai for the duration of the war
only of such aircraft and personnel attached to them
as the High British Government may consider necessary.
3, I am to request that airmen stationed at Xibai
be only allowed to visit the town of Dubai in parties
and accompanied by an officer and that all ranks of
the Hoyal Air Force be instructed to take particular
care to comport themselves correctly towards all in
habitants or travellers in my territory.
