Letter from HM Chargé d'Affaires to Persia, Henry Willock, in Koordan [Kordan or Kurdan], to the Secret Committee Pre-1784, the Committee responsible for protecting East India Company shipping. Post-1784, its main role was to transmit communications between the Board of Control and the Company's Indian governments on matters requiring secrecy. of the East India Company, of 3 July 1825. The letter forwards correspondence concerning the revision of the subsidy account between Britain and Persia (now catalogued as IOR/L/PS/9/70/36). The letter also acknowledges the approval of the Governor-General of the Presidency The name given to each of the three divisions of the territory of the East India Company, and later the British Raj, on the Indian subcontinent. of Fort William, Lord Amherst, of the conduct of Major George Willock, who had represented the Persian claims for the settlement of the account.
