Letter from HM Chargé d'Affaires to Persia [Iran], Henry Willock, in Tehran, to the Secret Committee Pre-1784, the Committee responsible for protecting East India Company shipping. Post-1784, its main role was to transmit communications between the Board of Control and the Company's Indian governments on matters requiring secrecy. of the East India Company, of 3 December 1825, which was received on 27 February 1826. The letter originally enclosed a translation of a letter from the Prince Royal of Persia [Crown Prince of Persia, 'Abbās Mīrzā Qājār], to the Governor-General of India, Lord Amherst, concerning the conclusion of the subsidy account between the Government of India and Persia (IOR/L/PS/9/70/61).
