being thoroughly fulfilled. F.S.R. again gives it as the task of the
three services to 11 act in combination to break d o/ m the enerny ’s
resistance", adding that " it will usually be nec e ssary to de feat q r
neu tralise the enemy's armed forces and so to depr i ve h im of the no y/er

is suggested that the same’ should hold good in armed rebellion, and
that under such conditions the first and only object of the three
services should be:
