Your telegram 31, December 25th.
Sassoon was informed that he might ship 400 tons. He actually shipped
1,270 bags equal 112 tons. Gray Paul of Bushire also shipped 2,600
bags wheat barley and flour equal 210 tons. It was assumed that this was
.filso part of Behbehanrs consignment.

In view of His Majesty’s Government’s decision that our cordon is to be
extended up to Sarakhs, two squadrons Indian Cavalry and half company
Sappers and Miners are being sent out and arrangements made to make
Bobat-Birjand road suitable for light motor vans. Sistan and Meshed informed.
Purther reinforcements being held in readiness for uso if required.
