A landing ground has been placed at our dispos
and a flight by three J>.H.9a8. is being carried out as soon
as preliminary arrangements are completed.
Apart from the view of cementing relations with
Bahrain and offsetting the impression which has been ereat-
-ed by the arrival of six French aeroplanes at Bushire for
Persia, it is considered that this offers an opportunity
of establishing an aerodrome at Bahrain which may be of
particular value to us subsequently as afc alternate station
on the route to India or as a potential Inland air base
in case of any operations in the
Persian Gulf
