reference K 6316/2042/234, enclosing a copy of a letter from the
India Office
The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors.
of the 20th ultimo, together with an extract from
a letter from the Government of India dated the 7th May, 1937,
I am directed to state that ari'angements have been made for the
expenditure on minor works costing between £200 and £500 to be
shown separately in the annual return furnished by this
Department.
2. The Board assume that the limit of Es. 2,500 refers
only to disbursements made by the Government of India and does
not in any way 'effect the accounts of this Department.
