This bundle consists of summaries of letters from Sir James Outram to Lord Clarendon (George William Frederick Villiers, British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs) of 8 and 10 June 1857, sent from Baghdad, regarding proposals made by Mowla Abdullah, former Chief of Howeyzah [Hoveyzeh] to subvert the authority of the Persian Government in Khuzistan [Khuzestan], and about the officer commanding the Persian troops near Bushire [Bushehr] sending an officer to survey and report on Bushire and the British camp.
