to such purchase, we would recommend the line suggested

we should make it clear to the Persian Government that
we anticipate no advantage to ourselves Irom doing so

view is that present railhead at Fok Kundi is inconvenient
and expensive and local administration are anxious to
withdraw to Dalhandin if there is no early prospect of ^
advancing to Mirjawa.
