of State, and of the Foreign Secretary, to th© undesirability
of having in charge fif Muscat 1 s finances an official who
could not make ends meet on his pay. Both were sympathetic,
the latter admitting that it was not mauh, and suggesting that
I should take up the question with the Government of India
when Musc4t had achieved solvency#
This one question of dissatisfaction was thus under
process of amicable agreement, and can hardly be advanced as
an argument for terminating my services*
