While appointment of military officer to
Lingeh meets immediate requirements it does not meet out otherj ?
needs there. I find that Stephens assistant Registrar
Bushire who has more than once officiated as Confidential
Assistant has knowledge of telegraphy and he also knows
Persian and has long experience of this coast. I therefore
propose that on return from leave in October post of
Consular Agent Lingeh should be reopened and that he should
control wireless in addition thereby releasing military
officer.
