30/19 of the 23rd July, 1947 about the method according to
which Government cars were operated under the Government of
India rules.
As from 1 st April, 1948, we should like your official
cars, with the exception of the Head of Mission car allocated
to the
Political Resident
A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency.

enclosures are sent to you herewith for this purpose and we
should be grateful if you could circulate them to the Agencies.
