• Bahrain Trading with the Enemy (Custodian) Order, 1939

Correspondence between officials at the Political Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. and the Commonwealth Relations Office, with enclosures, is also included in the file. These letters discuss what is to be done with the enemy property held at the Eastern Bank in Bahrain following the end of the Second World War. A list of such property is included (folios 7-8).
