A^out 700 of the fii'st kind are said to * ave been imported
during the nine months under review. These are mostly of German
mauiufacture and are sold at Rs,100 with 400 carti’idges. Afghans
huy them largely, Mekranis and Persians also huy them to some
extent. There are none in stock at present
Of the second kind various sizes are imported. They are
mostly of Belgian make hut a few are of English origin. They
are sold at Rs.sj? to 40 with 400 cartridges. Persians '^uy t^em
largely. It is said that 2500 of them were imported ee.d a^out
50 to 100 are estimated to remain in stock.
The third kind, namely the Mauser revolver, is of Ameri-
can make, " !v ut is imported from Germany and Belgium. These are
6 snot weapons said about 200 are said to have been imported.
They are sold at Rs.20 with 100 rounds of ammunition. The sale
for them is however stated to have been small during the nine
months under review
