19th February 1937 equivalent to 8th Dhul Hijjah 1355 and noted
what was mentioned by you. That His Majesty's Government have
now approved of the appointment of Ml*. E.Y. Packer as Chief
Local Representative to the Petroleum Development (^tar) Lim-
itedat qatar, in accordance with Article 4 of the agreement
concluded between Hia Majesty's Government and the Anglo-
Iranian Oil Company Limited. I offer my thanks to you for
intimating this to me so that I rest assured for ray recognising
Mr. E.V. Packer as Chief Local Representative to the said Com
pany. .But I beg to draw your attention to the fact that the
place of residence of the Chief Representative to this Company
is qatar according to Article 4 cited above.
