16. Where an officer is appointed or transferred to a post at
which it is necessary for the proper execution of his duties that
he should have his own private motor car and where the Secretary
of State is satisfied that it is not possible for the officer to purchase
a car locally on reasonable conditions, the cost of transporting a
car from the United Kingdom or from his previous post by an
approved route and method of transport will be allowed.
Comment.
The motor car need not be included within the limits as
regards weight and cubic capacity specified in para
graph 13 above.
