to Donnierl , Bornholm and later to Sweden. This past month I
went to Prance and Switzerland, was impressed and liked the latter
and the people of the former.

I got LL.B. Honours, Second 01".rs. Division Ono. The Professor
then invited mo to do research. :,iy limited moans through scholarship
enabled mo to do LL.li. for this I wrote a thesis. Only yesterday
I was admitted and presented for the K.A. in Laws at the University
Ceremony.
Ey v; '°' y of ' Edition, I was exempted from part I of the Bar,
and nope to take the finals soon. I also have a very little know-
lodge of modern 1 nguages.
By scholarship is due to end this September. I would
very much like to work, to do anything, especially in a University
or eoll^ge or in L.ny other channel or education. An administrative
job - which was what I was supposed to do - is also welcomed.
District Officer was the job I am training for. A legal job,
especially academic, as above indicated is also welcome.
This, at length, is what I car add in this very long latter.
I hope your time and mine in seeking a suitable work would meat
with success and I wish to thank you again for contacting me.
I do not mine, working anywhere. But I would bo very grate
ful if I can work in the Arab countries first, especially Jordan,
Iraq, Libya.

This correspondence is between officials at the Political Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. in Muscat, the Foreign Office, the Political Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. in Bahrain and the Government of the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman as well as a number of Palestinian applicants (some of whom correspond in Arabic). The file also contains a number of reference letters from previous employers and teachers of these applicants.

- Minutes of a meeting concerning 'Possibilities of Employment for Palestinian Refugees' held at the British Middle East Office in Cairo, 9 June 1950 (folios 47-48)
- List of Palestinians looking for employment in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. divided into Clerical, Technical, Police, Judicial, Teachers and Professionals (folios 137-151)
- Lists composed by the Foreign Office of Palestinian Students in the UK finishing their courses in 1949 (folio 187) and 1950 (folio 188).
