from his Majesty 1 s Minister at Tehran regarding the
investigation of Persian fishing waters by a Dan ish v essel
flying the Persian flag, I am directed by Viscount Halifax
to transmit to you herewith, to be laid before the Board
of Trade, the accompanying extract from a telegram, dated
the 11th December 15bb, from the Political Besiaent in the
Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. to His Majesty’s Minister at Tehran.

flag, the memorandum on tnis subject which was enclosed in
Board of Trace letter No. M 33o5/30 of the B7th May, Id60
has been consulted. No mention is made, however, in the
memorandum of the rignt of a foreign vessel under British
charter to fly the British flag, and altnough the
qualifications as to British ownership and the consequent
rignt to fly tne British flag would appear to be sufficient!
