to provide for the exercise of His Majesty* s
jurisdiction in certain territories on t he
Arabian shore of the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , vis. Bahrein,
Kuwait, Muscat, gatar and the Trucial States A name used by Britain from the nineteenth century to 1971 to refer to the present-day United Arab Emirates. .
These Orders replace earlier Orders in respect
of the territories concerned and were made
necessary by the constitutional changes effected
in India on the 15th August, 1947#
