Samiy,Soheily and Motaaedy of the deplorable impression that
would thereby be created in London as well as in India.
S. as regards the expulsion of British subjects without
proper formal!ties,no answer in writing has yet been received,
but there have been no further cases,and Monsieur Motamedy on
June 10th showed the Oriental Secretary to this Legation,
correspondence between the Census Departraent (by which "permie
de se jour ; are issued) and the Ministry of the Interi«*V,
containing proposals as to procedure in cases of expulsion.

A further attempt will be made to secure the doubtful point,
namely that the result of an appeal should be oomnunicated
